want to fit a non abs dc2 type R steering wheel to my ek9.. What needs to be done to fit them?

wired in my apexi rsm meter into my ek9.. followed the wiring diagram off apexi website have the revs working perfect but the speed on the rsm wont work ? anybody have any ideas?
