Replacement of the arches is defo the best way to go about if the rust is really bad. You can use fibreglass/ filler but the rust may reappear again a few months later.

I wouldint really advise doing it on a regular basis, when you do it its a good idea to leave the car running otherwise you might find it hard to start if water gets in the leads. You can buy good engine cleaning products like muc off/ autoglym etc but they require a bit more elbow grease.

£1 a sticker is a good price, they look cool on the rear tinted windows!!

not sure on the newer models but i know they are easy on the EK9. they will probly be held in by 2 phillips screws i would think. easy enough to do, give it a go.
