    My h2b eg6 sir2 civic/ headgasket blew b18 turbo time

Thanks man. Yea gearing was too short, 3 inch exhaust ment fairly loud so sitting at 70mph was hard enough to deal with. In saying that coming home at the weekend when the sun was out the h2b always put a smile on my face scooting the local area. I know in the states alot of the street h2b...

    My h2b eg6 sir2 civic/ headgasket blew b18 turbo time

Havent been on here in a while but just come on to update this a bit. Soooo as usual when i update i need a new engine, well yes and no this time. Just over a month ago i had a catastrophic head gasket failure out of the blue, all fluids were fine and there was no signs of overheating. I havent...

Squeezing the most power from my h22a

    My h2b eg6 sir2 civic/ headgasket blew b18 turbo time

The bracket with the g on it is the timing belt side mount bracket. There a new v5 kit with a new lower front gearbox to block fixing. If your making one id advice looking into it as i feel the older kit didn't have enough fixings

    My h2b eg6 sir2 civic/ headgasket blew b18 turbo time

I got caught by customs on my kit so it did work out expensive for what it is. These kits could be made so easily, its crazy money for what you get, iv seen loads of threads on american pages where lads have made their own kits, the intermediate shaft bracket would be the tricky one to get...

    My h2b eg6 sir2 civic/ headgasket blew b18 turbo time

I bought it direct from brough, dont think there is anyone in the uk doing them. Power steering definitely wont work with this kit, i think with a plated kit and relocate the pump a bit lower with an altenator relocation bracket, the engine will be sitting further forward and therefore give...

    K swap shifter box

Bringing this thread back up for some more info on the crv shifter. Will the throw with it be longer or more sloppy compared to the dc5 setup? Also has anyone any pictures of how much needs to be cut from the car to fit this and also is the hole for the cables route an awkward job with the...

    My h2b eg6 sir2 civic/ headgasket blew b18 turbo time

Your clued up on this because thats exactly what i think. As for clearance issue, its pretty close to the strut tower, the bracket that holds the loom plugs had to be trimmed, at the back iv about 45mm to the bulkhead from inlet, up top mine was fine till i put the plastic cover over the...

    My h2b eg6 sir2 civic/ headgasket blew b18 turbo time

Yea i did the swap myself. I would advice using an updated clutch, electric powersteering, iacv relocation and solid mounts before you think of setting an engine in. The brough kit seems good so far, engine sits nice and far back and it still handles like its a b series car. I wouldnt say its a...

Bit more progress on the build, engine and rebuilt 98 spec s80 with 96 spec 4th and 5th now in the car, few minor issues to sort with exhaust and an electrical problem, possibly something to do with the altenator/ wiring or possibly the ecu. Tomorrow il get a look. Car is running fine and it...

    My h2b eg6 sir2 civic/ headgasket blew b18 turbo time

Yea pretty bad, but this time it was my own fault, low oil level and the engine was getting a hard time . And yea i did raise it a bit, exhaust was too close before, didn't want to ruin the fujitsubo pipe.

    My h2b eg6 sir2 civic/ headgasket blew b18 turbo time

Ok update time again Or another update another engine blew lol Spun a bearing in the b18c, was giving the car a hard time, was ever so slightly low on oil and 1 big end bearing spun. So the b18 was took out and i put a b16 back in to get me going again. I then searched for a good b18c type r...

    My h2b eg6 sir2 civic/ headgasket blew b18 turbo time

Good news people, the b18 is alive and going well. Alot of bits and pieces to be done tomorrow, first of all a good clean as the car is covered of dust, iv the defis to hook up, ecu to screw in, gathers rear speakers to fit. Also got a new set of denji headlights in the post today, so its been a...

    My vti-s mb6

Thanks man. Yea i find the type r plant a nice upgrade, reving to 9k and the extra bit more bhp makes some difference. I had the gearbox and flywheel on the c4 plant but had a standard manifold and the cat in, it went well but just not as exciting to drive as it is now. It doesnt really feel...
