So I am at a crossroads, I love the feel of no power steering but when it comes to parking its an absolute pain.

I have an ek9 rack on my ek and debating running electric power steering, a graduated electric power steering would be better.

Has anybody done this and can give me their insight on it?

Not done it but considered it several times, also like the idea of being able to adjust the level of assistance. MR2 swap seems popular

On the race Ep3 I used several electric pumps. Mercedes and Opel. At the end, however, I directed myself on the mechanics of the Rsx. Now I think to try the electric on the Ek again. The top would be to use the completely electric one of the fn2. Needs heavy changes that I will evaluate later.

Ive also seen some people use Vauxhall Corsa and Saxo/106 pumps for it.

Has the rack been fully converted to manual by removing seals and fluid or is it just looped?

And like @si8pny say's, The Saxo/106 pumps are popular but MR2 one's seem like the one to have.

I looped mine, I have gone with an MR2 pump, just need to get to the car and get it done

I'm using the MRS pump on my ek9, I have it running through a 92 prelude abs box, it's great as I have the signal wire switched, so I used the power steering for parking and slow driving then turn it off when above 30mph

That's awesome, where did you mount it?
I run a link fury ecu so was going to look into setting it up to draduate/turn off over certain speed

I have it mounted to the subframe, it sits just off centre of the middle, next to where the oil filter would go

I have 245/45/15 And would need arms like Popeye to turn them otherwise lol

Sounds tight!
I'm looking to fit mine near where the abs pump would sit

It's not to bad to be fair, but then space in my bay is a premium, if ya wanna what's app me I can show you, since photobucket is crap now!
