ah so it was the vss then, glad you found it
So i replaced the throttle body. Still no better!
So far i have
Replaced the throttle body
Iacv
Set the tps and tested it
Checked the timing + ignition timing.
So when i start the car. It runs and idles close to 2000. And once it warms up it settles at about 1500 with a slight hunt.
If you blocked off the iacv hole the idle drops to just above stalling.
If you block of the throttle body with a flat plate. The engine dies. Which should rule out another air leak.
The idle screw is all the way in.
There are no EMLs. Car runs and drives ok.
My next idea is to block every vacuum pipe. Incase 1 is providing a very small air leak.
The only thing i havnt checked is a bad coolant temp sensor. Now the guage comes up to temp and the fan comes in and out. But i suppose the iacv opens more on cold start to bump the idles, so it could be giving me the issue?
