Obviously at the moment i have 195/55/15's fitted to my EK9

I've had an offer of a set of 195/50/15 for much cheapness!!

Would there be any issues fitting this size?

50's look **** i had 195 / 50 /15 on my ek9 and didnt like it atal

but now got 195 / 55 / 15 ad08's and never going back!!! ek9 was made with 55's:nerv:

I hate 50's drove the car home from somerset with the 55s on then changer for 50s and makes the gearing to short

depends on the look your going for!!! persionly i love 50s! :))

only prob is you spedo is about 5 mph off!!

i gps'ed mine with 50's and its doing 63 at 70 on the speedo....

195/50/15 is perfect for an ek9

Shorter gearing for better acceleration, more tyre choice/stock, smaller sidewalls have less deflection so offer sharper steering feedback. there is NO advantage to 195/55 bar a wee bit of extra comfort :blabla:

Also if you lower an ek9 enough they don't look odd at all, here's a photo of mine on 195/50 tyres, 15x6.5" wheels

I also ran 195/50 on standard wheels, looks fine again if the car is low enough

its only a 10mm difference in sidewall height, its hardly that much of a change....

i only got the 55 beucase i thought they look better and also i see that honda made the type r with them so must be better with them ;)

True but that small change = to quite a bit.

195/55/15 = 23.44" Rolling dia.
195/50/15 = 22.68"

~3.35% difference between the 2 sizes

In turn you just simulated for swapping out your stock 4.400 FD for a 4.547
Again small change but you should be able feel a slight increase in pull due to the Simulated Shorter FD.
