I dont have mine back on the road as im just driving away at my Glanza but I'll be putting it back on the road this week. I'll report back on the state of mine. Its bizarre alright, its seems 100% fuel related the way it just holds back.
It could very well be a valve not seating correctly or a headgasket failure between two cylinders. But what makes me think not is I've got solid even compression figures.
I bought the engine without seeing it running so a day one problem for me. Im using a facelift ek4 sir harness. Loom seems fine. There is a dseries alternator on it, I dont think its the problem but I bought a bseries one recently so I will throw that on and see.
Tried knock sensor and thought it helped a bit but back to square one now. Done the inlet mani gasket too. Im going to try getting rid of my jumper harness next for a proper obd2b ecu but the fact that ruprechts is genuine ek4 and doing that same thing is making me think its a valve/headgasket...
Fuel filter is in the bay it was changed. Yeah its a different map but not extreme to the point of causing severe hesitation. No difference really in the running when I move the ecu around unfortunately. Yeah set to 0.5 closed and 4.5 WOT. Bought a knock sensor last night should have it friday.
