My civic - clubsport inspired

This is cool, reminds me of my car for some reason, think it's the colour combo.

Re the inside - I used the oem carpet that clips to the seats and it lays down quite nicely and makes the insider a nice place to be.

Haha thanks mate.

I'm making a completely flat floor with ply and new carpet etc.

Might even add a little sound deadening.. I don't mind it stripped but it does freeze up in the winter

Also I want it to be easily removable should I eventually do the engine swap and tack days...

Ahhh fair. Yeah screw that, i made a point of keeping my sunroof and all carpets etc when I fitted my cage. Still needs to be a nice place to be!

I'm sure I could try to put something together for you mate hopefully over the Christmas period..
If your making it to fit the whole boot and rear seats up to where the carpet is normally cliped in I would even consider buying one off you if you fancy cutting a second out after making the first?

I'll make it, throw up some photos and if you like it then potentially.. although time is a precious commodity for me atm I'm struggling to do anything for myself..

I too wouldn't mind something like that in the boot. My carpet that attaches to the seat moves all over the place and no amount of velcro has stopped it moving :))

Christmas has been great! Got loads of little goodies. Mainly detailing products. My best mates got me this and soft 99 hard wax. Has a serious amount of weight too it for such a small knob, the finish on it also feels unreal. Very pleased!

So thanks to covid and lockdowns etc etc the false floor will have to wait a while. Kinda awkward and need a second set of hands for it really..

In the mean time... finally repaired my splitter! Managed to get the original textured finish that was on there smooth with a lot of sanding and high build primer. Now looking super glossy and I love it.

Also I took a risk on some new headlights as my others died, I'm actually quiet impressed at them for the price! £20 by novsight on ebay.. my old led headlights (unknown brand) were awful I couldn't see anything and the beam pattern was dreadful. These actually work haha.

love that splitter! you've done a great job.

So trying to do it solo, thanks covid..
I decided to have a go at the floor myself and just see how it goes so heres where I am so far.. luckily I already had the front piece cut before lockdown so had help holding things whilst I marked and measured.

20210123_143331.jpg

Used the brackets for the rear seats as supports and went from that height.
20210123_151345.jpg

Cut the first piece to shape using cardboard template with a wheel thing i made to go around a pen to get the shape then measured across to get the width and made a rough front leg.

Made a support for the front leg and some off the back for the rear piece using 2x1 for the legs

My little apprentice came to help haha

Sorry the photos are dark, it took me a while..
IMG-20210124-WA0003.jpeg

Same principle for the rear using my templates and made a hatch for the spare wheel.

Hopefully next weekend I'll do some minor adjustments and get it carpeted and hope it doesn't bounce around, if it does i will have to have a rethink and make a frame for underneath.

I'm no chippy but criticism is welcome haha

@mitchj93 Thats a great job you've done!

Don't suppose you would be willing to do a second? I dont require the wheel cut out if its any easier? More than willing to pay for your time

Thank you, where do you live? Its not really something I could get posted haha

Nor could I guarantee the fitment of it.. there's no way of doing it in a single cut it needs to be adjusted to get right. I don't even know if its going to bounce all over the place yet haha

The rear piece doesn't actually fit in as one piece which was annoying as I wanted to simplify it and it just became a nightmare in the end, but I'm pretty happy with the end product I guess. The carpet should really tidy it up.

Magnets would work a treat for holding it down.
