Avoid greenlight insurance at all costs. I've just had the biggest tw** on the phone I've ever spoken too in a company, said I have no experience driving a fast car so you he won't even give me a quote, just because I was driving a daily mk5 tdi golf 12 month prior' doesn't matter I own an ek9 in the garage too or owned a revo tuned Audi s3, not happy with this company at all please avoid. I am not happy at all, I'm 27 years old with 8 years no claims -.-

They wouldnt insure me on my ek9 once id boosted it either, same reason. unfortunately unless they are well clear of anyone elses quotes i wont insure with them again.

I rang to insure the civic and he basically laughed and said theres no chance anyone would insure a 200bhp car as a second car when im 22 with 2 years ncb used on another policy, he said it wasn't worth his time to even try...
His loss, im back with Flux now.

Earlier in the year I asked for a multicar policy too for my Jazz and the Civic, he said he wouldn't quote that either, not going to be bothering with trying again.

Greenlight come across as tossers every time I call them.

Rang for a quote on my EK9 once and the guy asked if it was the GT version with the optional 19" wheels. Jesus.

Chris Knott are far better. Very helpful and friendly bunch.

I made a move to brentarce after being rejected at greenlight, they insured me through the exact same insurer i was with through greenlight so underwriters being the excuse seems alittle poor.

My experience has been fine with them, had a chat on the phone followed by me emailing my full spec sheet over via email and boom £120 less than flux wanted... I do miss my third party on other cars that flux offered though. My experience with flux has been poor, really hit and miss I guess.

That'd be a deal breaker for me, I'm with Brentacre and it's included as standard with comprehensive policy, give them a call when it comes to renewal. I've just had my friend's MR2 for the weekend, wouldn't have been possible without that.

Thanks. Think i tried brentcare, not sure. Flux just messed me around ALOT and after three years with them and their renewal prices been poor and at one point increasing, I decided to sack them off. I'll definitely be having a good look around again when the time comes, still got the motorbikes with Flux as their bike department hasnt been an issue and has been extremely competitive.

Been with Brentacre for 4 years now, used Adrian Flux (average service) and Warwick Davis (helpful but quotes got a little high) in the past, but Brentacre appears very reasonable and helpful.

Yeah, I've been with Flux for two years on my Clios, but this year their renewal quote simply wasn't competitive so I'm with Brentacre now. Honestly a lot of people I know have had bad experiences with Flux but for me the only thing that killed it was the price- the Flux policy had better extras but the cost difference was too big to ignore.

with greenlight purely because im too lazy to find an alternative. be searching elsewhere come renewal...

I think i spoke to the same guy, green light used to be good, I was gonna insure my fd2 with them and they wanted more than any high st insurance, and when I mentioned my ek9 they said because it had been off the road for 2 years and I wouldn't be used to driving a 500+ bhp car again and it would be to powerful for me!
