My insurance is due in march, I'm not 21 until april though, would i have to wait until i turn 21 or do you insure people younger than that?

Hi Gaby

We can only quote 21 years old and above so it might be worth either taking the car off the road for the month or organising a temp insurance policy. There is a big difference price wise between 20 and 21 so if you can get away with waiting it will help you get a better deal.

Can you do a track day only policy?

Can you do a track day only policy?

We dont do stand alone track cover but some of our underwriters offer a road policy that you can add track cover on a daily basis with costs from £45 per day. We can also offer an Agreed Value for your vehicle so you can set a guaranteed amount that you want in the event of a total loss.

Insurance rates this year have increased since the government increased the insurance premium tax 01/11/15 and also the solvency regulation were changed from mid january. This has caused all premiums to rise over what they were prior to the changes.

If you can change any details like your annual mileage, vehicle value etc this can help reduce the rate. We actually have another underwriter who offer agreed value cover at good prices so could be worth looking at them but would involve you providing pictures of the car?

Knowledgeable and friendly staff, beat my renewal quote by £300 and all took less time than one of the other suggested insurers on here had me on hold for, can't ask for better service than that. Highly recommended!

My mates turbod ep3 is cheaper insured than my standard power ek9. Also ive more ncb and a limited mileage policy.

Insurance has so many variations (driver age, occupation, postcode, annual miles, driving history). You could actually get two twin brothers living at the same address paying wildly different prices depending on the individual personal information.

When it comes to getting quotes for insurance its best to find the best deal/cover based on your own details.

You will probably find someone doing 3000 miles in a Turbo car pays less than someone doing 8000 miles a year in a standard one.

Got my renewal through from one of the big online insurers......quoted £482!, no mods allowed giving over 10% gains etc etc......got on to Greenlight and saved myself £183 straight away....can also lower the car, add induction kit later if wanted and will cost no more!!
Friendly, quick and the guy Will, seemed genuinely interested in the car, even went of on the forum and took a look in Members rides!

My lad said he will definitely call them next year when he is 21

Excellent service :thanks:

EXTREMELY disappointed with this company. I've just had the biggest tw** on the phone I've ever spoken too in a company, said I have no experience driving a fast car so you he won't even give me a quote, just because I was driving a daily mk5 tdi golf 12 month prior' doesn't matter I own an ek9 in the garage too or owned a revo tuned Audi s3, not happy with this company at all please avoid. I will put on my ek9 and Ep3 forum I'm not happy at all, I'm 27 years old with 8 years no claims -.-

As per our criteria on this page we require a minimum of 12 months continual (last 12 months) insurance on the Type R models to meet our acceptance criteria. This is purely a requirement of our underwriters following a large number of total loss claims on Type R models.

Sorry we are unable to help and my colleague you spoke to did recommended a couple of places to try who should be able to assist.

Hope you manage to get something sorted.

Kind Regards
Neil
