After deleting my last build thread as half of the pictures didn't work for some strange reason I have decided to start a new thread and try and update it when possible.
I've had the car around a year and a half and purchased it off forum member and good friend @markp as he had mentioned letting it go and I had always wanted an EG6. So a deal was made and Mark was kind enough to enough drop it off.
The Car was spotless a true credit to all the previous owners with good solid arches/paintwork lots of mechanical history previous MOT's/Tax discs etc and the all important import certificate, and only 80k miles on the clock
At the the time i bought the car it was like a second project for me not to fire loads of money at but just to keep it clean and add a few subtle changes to make it my own as my main focus was on my Toyota Starlet at the time which sadly is no more due to being broke for parts.
The car came with some mods already fitted such as Cusco Cage, Seibon carbon bonnet spoiler and tailgate, whales willy carbon intake, Nardi wheel BC/D2 coilover setup. The car also came on 15" RPF1's but i said Mark could keep them as i didn't have the money for them at the time.
So i added a few subtle changes of my own in the form of 15x7 Rota Slips, Gen 1 Spoon N1 and black DC2 Recaros, Drivers Takata, Rocker Resprayed, OEM DOHC decals. I also had the front bumper smoothed and painted as well as all the carbon re-lacquered as it was a bit cloudy, bought a set of ADO8R's and had the geometry setup done. Here is how it stood at the time.
And out enjoying the Glasgow member with some mates @LoganK @RyanSi
So with winter fast approaching and having a small water leak into the car i bought myself a daily to run about in the idea being to strip the interior of the EG, find the leak and sort it, But as we all know its all to easy to get carried away and with the luxury of sharing a unit with a couple of mates one being Mark who sold me the car i decided to start a build on the EG. After reading alot on the likes of the Tactical Art Eg6 and Garage Work Eg6 to name a few the plan was to build a very track focused car with every modification and upgrade carried out for one reason only and that was to make the car faster round my local racetrack which is knockhill. I know that not everything i want for the car will be done in the initial stage of the build as it would never end but things can be tweaked and upgraded and ill be able to tell how much of a difference it has made when i hit the track. A huge focus of the car is also weight saving to make the car as light as possible.
