Need help with my b18c4 swap. I have everything up and running. Any of you guy from glasgow or scotland could come down to the garage i did the swap in and have a look at it. Anyone whos know there stuff to check it out and see whats up with it.
its not ideling properly and when i drive it and the revs drop it cuts out it does not hold idle and when i rev it to 1500 rpm the revs bounse and hold it dose not rev smoothly.

Check all your gasgets and pipes to the inlet might be an air leek causing it. You got a vacuum gauge or a smoke tester?

Yeah i was thinking it was a leak or somthing will need to havd a look over everything. Nah i dont have a vac gauge or smoke teater.

Not the best idea but if you spray some brake cleaner over some pipes and see if the engine speed changes. That would indicate a air leaking in from that area

Assuming you don't have any leaks... In my opinion you should check the IACV.

As RVM said. Could be a vacuum leak around the Inlet manifold or IAVC valve. Spray some WD40 or something around IM/Valves/Pipes whilst the cars running, Not an exact science but the bubbles led me to a small airleak between the IM and the head of my old EJ9.

Yeah i need to get it sorted its really pissing me off. I did the swap and and everything myself put alot of work effort and money in and now it wont run right.
Thanks guys need to check it with some wd40 for any leaks and have a look at the iavc.

Cheers mate found the problem and have sorted it car is running amazing now.

The iavc plug from the wireing harness one of the wires had split. So thats why it was not idleing right or reving proper and cutting out. So repaired the wire engine management light is off and car runs amazing.

Thanks for your help guys its crazy when somthing so small has such a impact on how the car runs.

Took it for a test run last night.

Is it a B18C or C4?

Just with the title of the thread and video being different.
