Matt's K20 CW EK9

I put my oil temp & oil pressure gauges in.

Really pleased with them! Got a gauge pod for the Civic instead of a universal one for a better fit. All installed via a sandwich plate between oil filter & cooler. Working lovely!

Can switch between colours etc..

Gave the car a decent clean as it was looking a little neglected with all the bad weather.

Some good & bad news.

Firstly, my engine swap won't be happening until the summer now as I haven't managed to get everything prepared in time to do it properly. All in good time.

The good news being, this arrived today and will go on this weekend :D :D :D

Anyone know what the rounded plate is for? Can't seem to place it..

The engine plans sound great man and jesus the car is immaculate!

Mugen intake looks very nice in the bay too :)

Thanks mate. Yeah I hope it all goes to plan in the summer, looking forward to it!

Can't believe the difference in sound from the intake! What a roar. Even more addicted to VTEC now lol!

Cheers :) getting it ready for JapFest slowly.

Need 2 new tyres as well now -.- lol. Also having StopTech grooved discs & yellowstuff pads on this week, spend spend spend!

Why only 11,5 CR? This is only stock CR for B18C...'a little' too low for a strong naturally aspirated setup

nice and clean :)

Thanks!

Stock CR for a DC2 B18C is 11.1:1. I didn't actually build the engine, it's got the parts in it I bought it with. I've only rebuilt it with new bearings, rings, gaskets & rehone. Basically just saved me the cost of building my own with forged stuff etc. And the lightened & knife edged crank was a must have!

Bought the '9 some new rubber this week! Went for some Uniroyal Rainsport 3's as they've always been a tyre I've wanted to try and have some fantastic reviews.

Managed to get out between showers & vacuum the interior and give my seats/carpets a quick shampoo for JapFest. Not much point in washing the outside before travelling down I don't think, it will be dirty by the time I arrive again in the rain -.- May give it a quick wash before leaving tomorrow & wash again Saturday morning.

Pictures less the mats as they're still drying.

Great day at JapFest, made my only purchase of the day. I know everyone's not a fan but I quite like them at the minute! Comfy too

So nice mate. Mega clean like. Dials look pretty mean as well. Any photos of the sandwhich plate set up? Just curious

Thanks mate! I haven't got any pics of that but could get a couple for you possibly!

Sandwich plate has 4 holes in the sides, ran the wires with the sensors on behind the dash out through a grommet in the bulk head. Then screwed them in to the plate with a little thread tape at the top & then blanked off the other 2 holes with 2 bolts with thread tape on. Job done!

And does that just go onto where the oil filter sits then screw the filter onto the sandwhich plate?

Yeah if you take your oil filter off, the sandwich plate goes onto the engine the same way. Before you put it on put a little oil around the seal of the sandwich plate (the same as a new oil filter) then tighten the sandwich plate on to the engine. Then screw your oil filter onto the sandwich plate with a little oil round the seal. That's it.

You don't have to drop your oil to do it, only oil you will lose is in the oil in the filter when you take it off. I just pulled my filter off and tilted it so nothing spilt out. Then just top up the oil after you're done.

Sounds good mate. Will definately be a mod i will be doing looks cool and cant do any harm keepin an eye on extra bits and bobs. First thing i need to buy is a 9 hahahaha
