The New Type R.

Why not? They were sold as Integra Type-R, had the same engine, Recaro interior, Momo steering wheel, Type-R decals etc...

Db8 is not a type r

It was released as a Type R in Japan. Honda wanted to build a 4 door "family" type car with the racing characteristics of a Type R hence Integra DB8 Type R.

^ yeh i have to agree, i just find them abit busy and bulky. but i guess thats just the era of design we are in, just look at all the other hot hatches.

That wing is horrid - styling is too in my face for my liking. 2015 release, Honda better make this a come back. I hope they done there market research right about filling the void and not putting there eggs in one basket. The rear of the civic touring looks way better. Is this new turbo going to return over 30mpg??

Totally ruined the Type-R image for me.

Honda are renounded for their high Hp/Litre NA engines and lightweight cars.

This is just Honda jumping on the high output hatchback bandwagon, which to me isn't what Honda's are about. They're not made for the type of driver who wants to plant it on the motorway and see who they can beat in a straight line which is what this will be. Not a screaming track weapon :(
