Also gave the 9 a 5 hour clean & detail. Finished off using AutoGlym HD Wax, gives a stunning shine.

pretty sure i seen this on the stand at japfest? lovely looking car if it was. :nice:

Looks beautiful mate :)

May I recommend you 2 products instead of the autoglym HD wax.

Couple of coats of Poorboys white diamond glaze followed by a couple of coats of dodo juice diamond white wax ! I'm a bit of a clean freak and honestly for white paint , two of the best products you can use, finish is fantastic !

Thanks lads!

Yeah I may try those products, I had the HD wax already as I bought it for my last car but didnt get round to using it. So I'll use it up first then look at other things

Update - A few minor mods to tidy up the car a bit.

Had a small misfire on cylinder 3 last month due to a busted plug or lead. Replaced both & now runs fine, looks good too, added some Spoon socks..

Added some blue anodised wheel nuts -

Also fitted a decat pipe & some Goodridge braided brake lines due to one of the lines leaking -

The rear drivers side caliper is sticking on atm so probably need a new caliper. That's an ongoing thing, also I think anti-roll bar bushes need replacing as there's clunking under the car going over bumps. That should be all the niggly issues sorted then apart from the smoking in VTEC which is only minor & will be fixed with new stems & rings in the long run.

Plans now -

Tarox Sport Japan drilled & grooved discs front & rear.
EBC Red Stuff pads all round.
Paint calipers in a nice blue to tidy them up & match the rest. May buy Spoon calipers later in the year...

Also buy a blue SFS hose kit, get my engine cover airbrushed with the Rising Sun image, AEM V2 induction, heat wrap manifold & generally tidy everything up! Then it will be just about where I want it :)

Wow clean car!
I would Get it undersealed or waxoiled if I were you

It's been a while so time for an update -

So, my brake callipers went in for reconditioning a while ago to solve the sticking problems and are now perfect however there was an unfortunate incident where my car rolled off the ramp into the wall ruining my bumper & lip -

Anyway - long story short & without going into too much detail the bumper was replaced & the Mugen lip all at the places expense, bumper, lip & grille all freshly resprayed in championship white. Looks better too, I prefer the lip with the slots instead of filled in like my old one. All this was done just in time for me to show the 9 off at Modified Live -

Then I thought I'd see what stripping the back out would be like, as I hadn't tried before and I think I will be adding some harnesses soon. It has been cleaned since & looks better -

Spare wheel is staying as I don't want to be without one. I will take it out for track events etc.

I will also be at Trax at Silverstone on 8th September & have track time booked to put her through her paces like she's meant for!!! Can't wait.

So not many massive changes but just an update of what's happened lately! From next month onwards there will be some bigger changes as I'm ploughing some money into the car to get it to where I want it!!

Finally, some pics of the car beading after a wash, gotta love hard wax.

some good mods & looks super clean, fair play for doing the important things like brakes first, lots forget about brakes and handling when they are chasing power!

Thanks!

Yeah I wanted to get them sorted so all the callipers have been completely refurbished and also have new discs & pads all round. Got some racing brake fluid in there too so it's never going to boil under hard braking. It's all good having power but you have to be able to stop! Lol. Next job is to add a little power ;)

So I went to Trax on Sunday at Silverstone which was a blast!

Here's some photos of me in my Civic from the 09:40 track time session which sadly got red flagged 5 mins from the end after a Corsa C's wheel came off causing it to crash... Lol.

Had great fun & it was awesome to put the 9 through its paces where it loves to be!!

Also met Boyle from the forum & his stunning EK9.
