Differences Between 96 Spec and 98 Spec Integra Type R

not all 98s airbag right?

Race base modification dont have airbag, abs, power steering

Type R (race base) = ITR with no interior, no power steering, ABS, or airbags (no options are available for this car) DC2 and DB8
Type R = with interior (ABS, air con, airbags, floor mats are all optional, ) DB8 and DC2
Type Rx = with full interior (ABS, airbags, floor mats, rear wiper, 6 speaker stereo system, air con, race pedals are all standard) DB8 and DC2

Airbags and ABS were 'optional' for JDM ITR's. Pretty sure there is no Race Base version for ITR. (never ever heard of an ITR without P/S). EK9 is different story however.

Been searching for an hour, I read through this whole thread, anyone know: What type of LSD does the 96-97 jdm itr have compared to 98+ Jdm itr
I have read 98 has helical type and 96 has viscous type???

As for the cams the 98 spec use ctr cam, I've had this tested on a cam profile machine, cool bit of kit when you have 10 sets of unlabeled cams
Ek9 camshafts were never used in the Integra Type R Engines.
The Integra 96spec intake camshaft is 14111-P73-J00
The Integra 97spec intake camshaft is 14111-P73-J00
The Integra 98spec intake camshaft is 14111-P73-J00
The Integra 00spec intake camshaft is 14111-P73-J01
The EK9 98-00 intake camshaft is 14111-PCT-000
exhaust camshaft are all the same 14121-P73-J00

regards
Oliver
