hellow all,

I am considering doing a project with my ek 97 hatch, and putting in:

Used JDM BB8 Prelude H22A VTiR Black V-TEC Front Cut with TipTronic Auto Gearbox and ECU

http://www.japanautos.com.au/Honda/Prelude/DSCF1070.jpg

from what i can find i believe it will fit perfectly?.. could anyone just double check me on this. I believe it would be a good drag car ^^ once its done but right now only considering my options

Not worth it, If you only plan to drag then go for it but its a lot more involved than a typical B swap, its more similar to a K swap in terms of labor.

Auto gearbox? I wouldn't do that, if you're going to ever do an H-swap use a manual B-series gearbox (of course you'd have to do the H2B conversion)
And yes, drag racing is the only time I would think of an H-swap.

here in italy there are 2 guys with H22 on eg civic

they have 230-240 hp with many motor modification and integra type r gearbox

they are too fast

i have a friend that put into a ek civic a F20C.......

if you search in youtube you catch him...

i will be doing my H swap in a few weeks :)

this is the list i have so far:
-H22A Engine 70,000 miles
-Gator H22/EK Drive shafts
-H22 EK Hasport mounts
-H22a7 Accord Type R Intake Manifold
-H22a7 Accord Type R LSD Box
-Ported Throttle body
-Shifter box and cables
-Apexi N1 Cat-back
-AEM Fuel rail
-AEM Hybrid H22 EK cold air intake
-Stage 2 clutch
-262mm brakes with slotted disc's

only thing i need now is the service parts. oil filter, g/box oil, engine oil, etc, etc

Reckon them poor little 262mm brakes will have their work cut out!! :nerv:

hey guys heard for the H swap that you lose the air con and also power steering...there is sumthing they can do to keep the power steering...would like to know what yous think of that thanks because im thinking of doing a H22a conversion in my EK

There are Loads of H22a swapped EK's going around up here

Most Done by Gerry at PerformanceTek, Might be worth a PM on here

Can you say to me what you think about the Gator axles after installation?

like blinx said its not worth it unless you going to use it pourly for drag K20 for the win. if you doing the swap try to get the right mounts there are 3 dirrent ones you can get from ha sport.

Thing is, those H-series can be really cheap...Way cheaper than a B18c.

Hasport mounts are the way to go. Trust me i've done, makes the job a lot easier.

sorry for the noob question. but how do u fit a b series g/box to a H series engine?

Have a search on honda tech about h2b you'll find alot of answers there.
this forum doesnt have much infor regarding h2b tranmission configs really.
as far as i know there is a conversion kit or something.

But yea, Honda Tech will have more info :secret:

Honestly, I think the H-series is a little overrated. I've beaten one in an EG with my EK and a nearly stock B16A with a GS-R tranny at the time. Three runs and I got them all. I know that's just one experience, but I'm just saying. They are overrated, but I'm not saying they're not good. Just don't go with the hype and think that the displacement will fix anything. I wish you luck with your swap and build. :D
