Have got another EK9 in Japan waiting to come over, just going through the pics and come accross this. Why is the oil filter up here?

At least i'll be able to change it, without Paul getting me under the car and my hand up in the gap.
 
Looks like a relocation kit to me. A lot of skyline owners use them to make changing the filter easier.
 
Yup, oil filter relocation kit, usually used when adding an oil cooler or just to make oil changes easier.
 
Thanks guy's. Hope it has a cooler aswell, that will be a bonus.
If the engine is good it will be going into our yellow one.

Nothing wrong with it, this one is a Spoon stroked engine and has loads of other goodies on which we shall put on ours.

i see, what are you going to do with the shell afterwards? also i highly advice you do a full compression and leak down test before swapping the motors, nothing worse than doing all that work to find the new motor is not 100% healthy ;)

and if you get a chance i'd like to see how that catch can is setup, like where its getting its ports from cause the lines are pretty dirty unless its setup to relieve positive crank case pressure...
 
Wll get the whole engine tested before we even remove it.

If the engine is good we will have it and the rest will be sold. Shell wuill be sold with cage in it.

Will get pics of how it is set up when it arrives.
