only just got my EK9 and just wondered roughly where most EK9's VTEC kicks in. Mine kicks in at about 6200rpm.

Each EK9 engine is made by hand and each engine's VTEC kicks in slightly diferently to each other i heard.

nearly all ek9s running a standard ecu set up will kick in between 6100 - 6200

VTEC wont kick in differently on each car. The ECU tells VTEC to engage, not the engine.

IM going to add a piggy back or chip to my 99spec b16b end of this month...
DO u guys think i should set the Vtec point earlier....like 6000rpm or 5800rpm??
Anyone hav experience?

You should really dyno tune to find out where to put the VTEC crossover.
Do one pull where the vtec is set low, like 3000. Then do another pull where vtec is set very high like 7000. Where the two powerbands cross is where you want to set the crossover. It will end up being lower than factory setting.
On the dyno you'll notice there is a dip in power right before the crossover, you set the crossover earlier to bridge that gap.

Had my 2000 ek9 on the rolling road yesterday and the vtec come in at 6250 rpm and reved to 8882rpm before it hit the limiter !!on my friends 99 ek9 the vtec come in at 6150 rpm and hit the rev limiter at 8655 rpm

My 99 spec B16B vtec engage at 6200 and rev to 9000rpm rev limiter...
Why Honda set different for different year of vtec engine....weird..

my vtec is set at 4500 at the moment, it gave alot more torque in the low rev range
