What is the difference in the shells between ej and ek?


EJ9 's are 1.4 and EK3's are 1.5
If you read a few of the posts in the thread, the person who advertised the EK3 made a mistake in the title.
 
so its literally just the engine? I was beginning to think it was like the difference between the rsx and the integra type r, the type R having some additional body stiffening panel somewhere. (from what ive read)
 
between an ej9 and ek3 theres no difference..if it was an el4 it would have a front upper strut brace,anti roll bars,and im sure mine had a lower strut of some sort.
 
There's no difference other than the engine and struts, I've a ek4(same as ek3 ect) fairly sure its the exact same shell as the ej9. ej9's weren't released in Japan, only Europe, they only came in 1.4s.
 
this is what i had posted few weeks ago. only thing different that i know is the engine.
 
Yes thats my Civic ek for sale at £400 and yes I did make a mess of the add, its definately an ek3 as I checked the VIN plate the other day for another member on here.

I've only had ek4's and wanted ek9's before so never really looked into the codes of the other ek shape Civics. I only bought the one in the ad for a wing and a bonnet so now its gotta go! Any questions or pics needed just drop me a pm mate :)
