hi guys,

probably i guess i need ur help..since ive been to 3 mechanic, all have the same answer to my problem....compression leak!

i have b16a from eg model in my EJ....
cam skunk2 stage 2 tuners
intake manifold skunk2 pro
tb b16b rebore to 66mm
adjustable cam pulley
fuel system never touch.

so i went to dyno yesterday and compare to my previous dyno. the graph shows upon vtec point(5700rpm),there was no climb of whp!about 6500rpm there was a slight climb but this one is cause of cam characteristics.

but why there is no power during vtec point?????

ive reset the cams to 0-0 according to skunk2 specs.this was done carefully by the mechanic.

is there really a leak in my engine?????but i see no signs of it.my mileage is already 16XXXX kms.

i already fedup with this.the dyno shows everything. driving is not fun anymore. :(

Whats your compression per cylinder? :nerv:

Whats your compression per cylinder? :nerv:

Im not sure.still using b16a piston.only upgrade cam skunk2 tuners stage2 with valve springs.valvetrain use standrd b16a.no one knows the solution until todsy.they say i need to overhaul the engine.but there is no sign that i need to overhaul it.so what for?pls somebody out there help me.as in my country i already seek frm the best mechanic.

as everbody else has said do a compression test . then go from there

sometimes vtec does not engage when your oil is low but i presume you have checked that?

:nice:

as above AND are you sure VTEC is engaging! ??

when i dynoed in fourth gear, i heard the vtec sound. but this morning i try 2 to 3 times in 4th gear there was no sound and power.previously gear 1, 2 and 3 also no sound and power of vtec.

b4 this ur questions is already in my mind, but since i dynoed and i heard the vtec sound so to me its fine. but when i drove the car myself, during vtec there was no sound and power. thats why the graf shows nothing happend during vtec point.

so what other test that can be done?

this might be a silly question but DID YOU TUNE THE CAR?

ur right. silly but u trying to help. done the tuning so many times.thanks bro. but one thing that i remember it all happened when this one time i hit the road quit hard and it hit something under the car.i'v checked and there's no leaking.so after that i've dynoed and the power was 10whp off from previous. after 1 month i experience no power when vtec.no, i hear no vtec sound at all.sometimes its there, sometimes its not. it makes me wonder who de the hell put a gremlin in my car!

this happended to my friends jdm b18C...sometimes vtec, sometimes none. I'll ask him what happended in the end because I think he fixed it...

ok good, well if your using any kind of auto-tune feature based on O2 feedback and possibly that something hit and damaged your O2 sensor that could be why your having problems?

i dont think o2 sensors got to do with it.coz in other forum they say o2 sensors dont have any relation to engagement of vtec.but they also don't know the solution to my problem.i feels really suck drive a car without vtec.it has been over 1 month like this.i cant stand it anymore.
