throttle body upgrade

hi guys does anybody know what mm diameter the oem throttle body on a ek9 is to start with? and also is it worth upgrading to a larger bore one? if so which is the best upgrade option for an ek9? ive seen a 70mm one for sale at vtec direct but im not sure if this is much different from the oem one?

Think the throttlebody mm diameter on the EK9 CTR is 62mm. I was advised not to get the 70mm, best to get your existing throttlebody and intake mani ported to 66mm! JIMBOB EK9 on this forum is gona do it for me hopefully.

I was advised that the 70mm one made the car overfuel? correct me if I'm wrong. I'd go with the 66mm port job like me. I'll let you know how I get on once mines is done. Think the ITR diamater is 64mm so still an improvement on the ITR!

I think 70mm is just too big for a 1.6 engine, you can bore yours to 66 mm, cheaper and you should be just fine.

oem ek9 is 60mm ITR is 62mm, most people in US use 68mm but thats usually in conjuntion with i/h/e cams and tuning.

i think that 68mm throttle is too big if you have cams too

the best for N/A is 66mm...but until 200-220 cv the 62 mm of itr is a good choose
