Spoon TB's & J's Racing Intake

I already have a Js racing carbon intake ready to fit to my B16B. Just wanted to know when I buy the Spoon TB's are they a perfect fit with my engine and the J's racing intake? Is there anything anyone could recommend that I do while doing these mods that would help please? :)
 
Yeah they will fit perfectly mate:) I had a Spoon TB on the car when I had the B16B engine in the car but didnt get round to putting it back on since I dropped the B18C R engine it. Must do it soon!
 
Nice one thanks Anto! :) How did you find the TB when on? obviously it would benefit the car more with a map? Nice, you have a B18C R in your EK9, how do you find it?? everything been ok with it?
 
rather than spending all that money on a spoon TB, why not go for the ITR TB insted & save yourself £££

Yeah there was a difference bottom end power. But it kept making the car overfuel on idle for some reason:( I think it was something to do with the map sensor. Yeah the B18C R is great. Really big torque difference. Yeah its be running perfect and have it in over a month now.
 
ITR TB does sound like a much better idea Jimbob thanks. But where is the best place to get a set, will they fit straight onto the B16B and would they need modify'd in any way to get the best out of them?
 
Think I'll just get my B16B TB ported to 66mm like you did rvm, thanks! But where in Scotland could I get this done, I dont know anyone that does machine work?? And I am not mechanically minded enough to do it! :(
 
I work a machine shop mate!
If it was pos to take it off the car & send it me i could bore it out for you & return it to you in the post????

Edit:- I am 99.9% sure i have a spare B16B TB sat in my garage, i could bore this one i have out & send it out to you, then you send me your OEM TB back!
Ill check when i get home in the morning & let you know asap!:nice:

Well to be honest mate i want to check with RVM what is is exactly that need's to be done, i think by looking @ his pic's that it is a 66mm (or what ever size is preffered) tapper bore to the stock butter fly valve size! but when i have done them on other car's i have just bored stright through & made a larger butter fly valve! so i depend's on which way it need's to be done!
But if it is like a think & just a tapper bore to stock size then i would prob do this for around £50 & your OEM TB in exchange! just depend's how much of a donation i have to make to the work's charity for using the machine on a none work item! (prob just a few quid though:nice:)

Sound fair to you guy's?

Nice one Jimbob I would defo be up for that. Whatever is easier for you? Will I have to get anything done or is anything I can get done to my Intake Manifold aswell that would help?

Well you could get your inlet manifold ported to match the TB!
I will let you know aft new year mate about sorting this out!:nice:
