hi
i post because i would like buy a spoon ecu
but i don't sure if the ecu spoon it(s for a stok engine(standard spec) or for rebuild engine with spoon camshaft and other spoon parts

thanks for your help

No problem. There are 100's of posts on here about Spoon ecu's;)

i am just after buying an ek and i was wondering are the spoon ecu's good

Yes i found it very good, i dont think it was faster straight line thinking about it but on the corners the extra RPM was handy.... nice smoother delivery through the rev range too, but outright dragging speed think might have been less...

Pulled very well though and is enjoyable.....

I don't understand the full in's and out's, but I have never understood why people buy these expensive pre mapped ECU.

Rather get a fully mappable one mapped to my car.

cheaper, less effort, convenience

Convenience I guess I can understand.

Going by the ECU's for 4EFTE though, them JAM/Blitz etc were stupid money. Could purchase an E-Manage and get it mapped for cheaper or around the same price.

How much are the SPOON ECU's?

they normally go for around £300-£350.....

For the person out there that doesnt want the upmost from there car without the hassle of mapping/ fitting etc etc these ECU's are ideal..... Depending on what you want from the car and how where you want the performance to be...

If building a car up i would only use Standalone, thats why im running Motec on my starlet.

yeah i sold mine, really needed the money at the time, and because the change of plan to keep my car pretty stock and build the starlet for now......

Would love to go K20, If only i was minted :(

I had a JAM ecu on my old glanza and thought it was one of the best buys for the car despite the price. Totally transformed the car! Got a spoon ecu for my ek9 not long ago and it seems really good too!

For some people like myself, there are no reputable tuners around and also the cost off a rr session here costs more than the management itself...
