question,

Are all s80s LSD ?

Reason I ask, I've had my engine swap for about two years now or longer and bought off a reputable breaker on here, engine and box was supposedly out of a low mileage 00 ITR. My box is am s80 however does not have the LSD marking on the casing or any other stamps apart from a barcode that doesn't tell me anything really.

I'm sure it is the 4.7fd as that's what I was told and it does have short ratios but then again I've never been in another B series car to know the difference.

So , are all s80s LSD ?
Are all 4.7FD s80s LSD ?
How can I tell without taking anything apart ?
From memory 70mph is around 4kish maybe less, it's been a while since I've drove the thing.

Either jack front up and spin the wheels, 1 should spin while other stays still or pull driveshafts out and look through the hole.

Come to think of it, I had it up the other day when warming up the engine to drop the oil, one wheel span while the other stayed still, think the gearbox side was spinning.

I think they are all Lsd. Well the common s80s are. A buddy had a jdm sir s80 and that an optional Lsd.
Just go hit a round-about hard in 2nd gear. If you come out the other side LSD. If you plow through it, no LSD.

I can tell by when I drop the clutch in 1st and 2nd I can fell the power grabbing at both wheels
Specially when pulling out from behind another car

Esp over uneven ground.

I should just attempt to make some 11s and then check but I don't fancy replacing a clutch a long side the rest of the issues it has haha.

I have T1Rs so they don't really , Erm grab more like spin , I am going to invest in some decent rubber soon but these came with my wheels and are practically new but that's sort of irrelevant lol.

All s80 gearbox's are LSD, UK Or Jdm

The sir gearbox are Y80 I am sure, an like Jesse said they are optional LSD
