Running very rich help?

Hi I need abit of help. I put a b16a In my em1 I use to have a b16a2 engine in it. Put it in runs ok went to change the inlet manifold to the b16a2 manifold and now it running really rich a lot of black smoke and fuel smelling. Nothing is leaking and it run like a bag of **** when I have half throttle on it. ????? Help

Do you have a management light on?
Seems like you've probably knocked a wire or something if the old engine was running well with that manifold,

Or is it a different manifold?

Check you have not pinched the fuel return pipe also

Ye it a diffrent manifold. The old one was the JDM manifold. I put the b16a2 on it. Think it would be getting confused with the sensors?

There are some different types of fuel rail,

There is a valve on the end of some that is different to others, I'm not sure of the exact details but have heard people having problems when putting a older type on a newer car and vice versa, (not talking about the pressure regulated here, it's on the other end and sometimes has a white cap on it)

Make sure you haven't mixed up your tps and map sensor plugs, I've seen this happen before and no check light to come on.
