stuck on which cams to put into my b16a2!

itll have ctr pistons for high compression for big cams

ive been looking at the skunk pro2's for a while but people have said i may have problems with valve clearence and there to big for my 1.6?
rocket motorsport m22's are ment to be pretty good aswel? which would you suggest m22x or the m22xx? also consider the pro1's aswel! basically its out of them lot! i want the most power possible! if possible 200hp+!

which cam would you suggest! cheers

The M22XX have larger primaries. I would probably get these cams and stay away from the Pro series cams.

The CTR pistons into the 16A2 is higher compression but not really "high" compression. With a stock 3 layer gasket it's still under 12:1.

Refer to this link and you will see that even with such an "extensive" build. They opted to stay away from Pro cams.

Given they could afford to use Toda ITBs, the choice of cams is obviously not an issue. This car has since gone K20. Choosing cams is not about "bigger is better." It's about what fits.

If you want 200bhp, that's not hard, if you want 200whp, well, you ought to start with the head.... as in porting it.

what will the larger primaries of the m22xx provide? there more of a top end cam aint they?

whats the difference between the m22, m22x and the m22xx? because on there website it only states the m22's and not the x or xx?

i can see they didnt opt for the pro series cams in that build but why? whats the reason? they not ment to be that great? ive heard some good stuff bout skunk2's pro series cams!

larger primaries ought to give you better power/trq before VTEC.

the M22 is the original cam they put out with the M22X being updated (I think with revised VTEC lobe) and the XX with larger primaries.

The pro series cams are meant for larger displacement and higher compression than their setup.

i also prefer the RM stuff, RA b16a with b16b pistons is under 12.0 but not by much, i think its right around 11.9 last time i checked.
