Rebuilt engine, slight loss of oil pressure plus other symptoms.

I'm happy it will be clean when it comes back from these guys.
I can always give it a blast with the pressure washer before building it.
Take it you'd do the same with cylinder heads aswell? I need to clean that out.

Your spot on with the run in. Means I can give it a harder run in instead of trying to fix issues and idling it for ages.
Also I can go alittle tighter with my ring gaps as I feel they where too loose last time round.

How loose? My 1st motor went due to Running the ring gaps to Wiseco specs. When I rebuilt it I went with Laskey specs.

Current specs are 016 top ring and 020 2nd ring.
Out of interest what are laskeys specs?

Take it from me, your best to look after cleaning the block yourself. At this stage I would completely strip down head and clean out everything. You don't want to be back in this position again!

What would you clean everything with? Just soapy water and a jet wash or what?

Hot jet wash with detergent first, then without detergent. Spray the walls of your cylinders with WD40 straight after washing.

Hot jet wash, guess I'll have to take it too a car wash and clean it there!
Should get afew laughs lol I put 30w mineral oil on the cylinder walls last time, bad idea?

Jesse, Honestly the amount of unfortunate hassle you've had so far. For the sake of it just slap a C4 engine in there. It's proven and most of all it will be adequate for the power you want to run maybe more. Will outlast most "forged" motors that I tend to see go pop after 1500 miles running 300 bhp. As long as you get a healthy one it will last ages. At least you can slowly build a forged motor on the side if you wish to make more power down the line. I can understand if you want to do things differently though.

I won't lie, it did cross my mind. I see using a c4 as giving up now. I'm like a dog with a bone when it comes to this engine.
Realistically it won't take me at all long to build this engine again now I've not got to wait on parts.
I've not got to check the clearance for bearings etc and it will all go together nicely as I've done it before.
Last time I was learning the whole way so took more time.

Way I see it is if I build it properly it'll last.

No it's fine but this time round try spray the cylinders with WD40 and just coat the piston skirts and rings lightly with oil upon install.

That's for the tip, I was quite heavy on the oil last time round.

@Vtec6000 I've got white spark plug tips and white exhausts valves aswell, all four but Middle two are worst.

I say white, it's more grey/white and it's not very bright, Google search throws up much worse than mine.
They have deposits on the valve faces I've tried to clean it off without much luck. The white/grey has gone but the deposits are still there.
What should I clean the combustion chamber part of the head with? Also I've got a gasket stain from the headgasket so I'd like to try and clean that off aswell.
Any ideas?

Wow that's quite wide.

It is that. But my motor didn't burn oil or have blue smoke spewing out the lum.
Remember on a track car you have lots of heat, the ring gaps allow the pistons to expand. If i mind right, the wisecos have a higher silicone content so expand abit more than other manufacturers.

Can you post up pictures of spark plugs? Sounds like deposits from oil been burnt off during combustion. Try some carb cleaner and wire wool to clean the combustion chamber.

I'll give that ago cheers.
I've sinced cleaned it all up but I do have pictures of how they are now.
I do think oil was getting in although it didn't smoke strangely.
Will upload pictures now.
