Probably covered a few times in this but engine is smokey (white) in and out of vtec and want to rebuild the head. Haven't driven the car enough to know what volume of oil it's using as only back from respray

Have new genuine Honda

Head bolts
Retainers
Springs

Need to get new valve stems, head gasket and possibly piston rings

What would people recommend for head gasket? Go with genuine gasket to keep compression high? If I skim the head will oem gasket be ok?

If it's smoking in and out of vtec I would be replacing the piston rings as well

You'll need a hone if your changing the rings aswell.
Standard oem gasket is about the best out there tbh.

Hi @Buckyy
The best thing to do is buy a genuine Honda rebuild kit. It comes with all the seals and gaskets you need, including head gasket , stem oil seals, rocker cover gasket etc.
