Hi guys,
I'm looking at getting a rebuilt engine that has a Skunk2 B16a2 built head including cams, cam gears etc. I'm a bit puzzled though as to whether the cams are genuine or not.
Online research has told me they should carry certain ID marks. These ones seem to have some marks, but not fully matching. The intake cams has H08EX (which is stage 2) inscribed at the end of the camshaft (dizzy side), its a genuine ID code but EX means exhaust, and the mark is on the intake cams See pics!
Also it has the letter M and number 2 in the middle of the intake camshaft between 2 lobes, then just M in the same place on the exhaust camshaft. Research has me confused as some say this is correct, but others disagree. The cam gears look genuine with full markings though thankfully.
If they are not Skunk2, anyone have any idea what they actually are?
Any help appreciated!
Thanks
