Hello all,
I'm going to put baffles in my B16b sump.
I see that there are a couple of kits, the Tegiwa one is £30, eBay kit is £16.
I have the ability to make my own plates at work for nothing. So was wondering before I make them myself without any templates or measurements, does anyone have to hand a kit that they could measure for me before they fit it? Or any measurements? D any help much appreciated.

I made some before, but just made them up as I went along, going of pictures online,

How ever it would be good if someone had a actual size drawing that could be down loaded as a file, printed and used as a template,

Yeh that would be a great, ideally that's what I'm after, if not when I make mine I'll make a template.

I have a sump with baffles welded in home, I'll measure it for you tomorrow. Tegiwa ones used to be a good bit cheaper, then the price went up and now it's a total rip off for such a flimsy bit of steel

That would be great :D thanks oifovo.
Yeh I can't justify £30 for some metal plates. We have sheets of good quality steel at work that I can have for free, so thought it was a no brainier to make my own.

Started making the templates. @oifovo has been very helpful, he managed to measure his own baffles that he had to hand, and made an actual sized picture of the baffles and emailed it to me, he also told me the diameter of the hole and the width of the channel. So when you print off the template you can measure it to make sure you printed off the picture in ACTUAL size which is important.
So first I printed off the template.

As you can see in the pictures the measurements are approx 97mm and 33mm.
I then cut them out and glued them onto card for a more rigid template.
When making the winglet pieces, you can see that the image shows that the corner turns up, you just need to leave an extra 3/4mm to allow for the fold. Should be clear in the picture.

Then I cut them out and mocked them up in the sump.

That's as far as I've got so far.
Will start to make up the plates tomorrow. But for the purpose of the thread, it's done its job  @oifovo

@B16Swt
Did you have to make adjustments to the picture to get it to print to actual size?

When I print the picture in the link it ends up about 10 mm to small, I'm not a computer boffin and don't know how to make it the correct size

Ah yes I did, @oifovo said something to me about printing.
Just found this in an email from him.

Try to print it and see how it goes. When you print it make sure you print "borderless" and don't tick the "fit to page" option. Basically you need to try to print the true size of the picture.

I did exactly that and it worked spot on!
You'll find if you don't do as above the computer makes the image smaller to fit the page.

So turn off borders and don't tick fit to print.

Ah ha, I shall take a look at it again and give that a try, :nice:

Cool let us know how you get on. :nice:
