Oil catch can set up - pic request

You dont have to take the inlet mani off to do this mod but it is tight enough to get your hand in.

I was thinking and does anyone know if simply using a breather filter on the rocker cover breather and then only running only one pipe to the black breather box and then to a catch can. Would this work just the same?

One thing that I noticed when I used a catch can before and connected up both lines (rocker & black box) to a catch can was that there was a small amount of condensation mixed with oil around the rocker breather when I took the rocker cover off so basically gunk and this only appeared after installing the catch can system.

I was wondering if a small amount ofcondensation in the rocker breather line somehow ran back into the rocker causing it to mix with the oil and leave gunk. This is why I was thinking that a breather filter would stop it happening

^^ I was thinking this too. I was close to buying a Moroso catch can with one inlet for the blackbox and I was planning to attatch a small breather filter to the rocker cover.

Here is mine.
1 line in from the valve cover back
2 lines in from the back of the block.
1 line for fuel evap [my evap can is no longer =) thanks Jimbo!]

Black box has been removed and hole plugged. =)

I am not returning the vapor sludge back to the block, Ive used one of the two return lines fitted it with a shut-off valve and use that to empty the can when full.

Under front of car, this is where I empty the catch can.

here's my oil catch can set up. it has a return hose back to the sump so it basically recycles. the back of my rocker cover has also been baffled to stop oil just flowing in.

Nice set up! V-TEC ABUSER, I noticed on your build up you have an aftermarket expansion tank. Is this purely for looks or does it perform better than the normal expansion tank?

the only reason i have that expansion tank is because the old one didnt fit in the gap, so the guys that did my engine just built that one for me. i really dont know if it works any better.

as for my catch can set up, its custom so cant be brought.

Just to double check...So I plug the second hose into this?...

I know its over kill for my stock-ish engine but I do plan to build on the engine in the future and plus it looks good :D

am struggling to find where that is :?:please:

Sits directly next to the oil filter. Bugger to get to without taking the intake off. I however managed to get it out with everything in place...lol.

Follow the pipe down from the middle of the inlet manifold! You will reach your destination lol

^^^ You can see the black breather box to the right of the oil filter in that picture , hoses are on top of that

hmm i still cant seem to find mine:? theres nothing to plug it into ? ive already got something plugged into the top of that though?
