oem oil pressure sensor removal/size ?

searched all over forums and cant find 100% correct size socket needed to remove it from back of block, anyone know ?

i found few posts saying 22mm, thats just pure mis information as bought 22mm long socket and doesnt fit :nono:, spent almost 2 days tryin to remove it and gave up today, such a pain part to remove so not even going to bother until i know i have correct socket size
 
use a shifter spanner (aka an adjustable!) if you dont have the right sockets. easy!
 
cant get to it with any kinda spanner from any angle (under car on my drive) as in such an awkward place next to oil filter, only way i see possible is socket and maybe extension
 
i know the thread size lol 1/8 BSPT is the oil pressure sensor threads
 
i thought oem sensor had 1/8 npt thread so bought fitting kit with 1/8 npt thread to go into block but i beleive npt will fit bspt thread (please tell me it will) ?

BSPT 1/8". Use a 24mm deep socket, just checed it then for you dude. :nice:
 
cheers for that, do you know if i can use 1/8 npt fitting or do have to use 1/8 bspt ? too late for me to return and get correct kit as thrown packaging away and all fitted apart from line into block now, worse to comes to worse guess ill have to get 1/8bspt to 1/8npt adaptor
 
the threads practically identical in1/8 size. itll work fine but youll need a suitable grade loctite for the threads OR PTFE tape. :nice:

ive got hold of 1/8 bspt fitting (im little **** with stuff like this) so all sorted, just gotta wait foir decent weather on a weekend now to fit

kit im using to fit oem and aftermarket oil press sensor into t piece and the line into oem sensor point in block lma095/1

Thatll work fine. You can get specially designed stubby ones that safely mount straight to the block like in this pic
