My New Car!

Yeh, it has the OEM Bridgestones at the moment but I might try to stretch to some R888's as their replacement with some 16/17 TD wheels as per the Elise. Aim is to spend this year getting it sorted mechanically with a good geo etc., lots of track-days and then look into selling or supercharging come insurance renewal.

The standard Bridgestones or R888's are the way to go, they feel a bit fidgety and nervous with other tyres unfortunately. A good geo is worth it's weight in gold on any car, more so on something like the 220 which is much more of a handling car.

It may be worth looking at engine swaps come insurance renewal. B, K and H series Honda engines have been put in Elise's as well as VAG turbo engines and even a VW TDI 1.9 engine. :wow:

IMO though, the engine in the 220 is it's weakest point, it feels like a dull anodyne engine, not eager to rev and feels over-stressed. This is in comparison to the likes of a K20 though so it's probably not a fair comparison, especially the fact that the K20 revs to over 8 grand and the 2.2 only goes to about 7000rpm?
