engine-
b16b
dc sports jdm style header
greddy SP2 exhaust
S2 test pipe
saamco intake arm
t1 cam trigger kit

The runs were during the same session, these are the best runs of each, motec and stock. I am being very conservative on timing and 12.9-13.0 AFRs for the constant abuse of the road course.

you can see it did not pick up any power from 7000 to 8000, but having the vtec come in sooner makes the car feel much smoother and less abrupt to the really late vtec of the stock ECU.

Overall- feels better, smoother and a good start for a road racing car.

very nice!

Why did you decide to go with the Motec instead of other options such as Hondata or crome?

How dare you ask why someone would chose motec over crome :p Can crome even run a cop setup?

What i'm wondering is why the T1 cam trigger kit? Im assuming you have individual coils now, what was the reason you chose such a serious mod on such a stock engine? I am guessing you are in some form of racing and modifications are limited?

this is my daily driver with AC, ps and full interior!

I got a t1 kit because without the wires being shielded (stock wiring is not) the "signals" from the distributor would be come mixed up and would not allow for revs over 7krpms. Got a t1, wired it in and it fixed that problem.

stock distributor only used to distribute spark, sensors are not used.

another thing, i wired in a 3 bar and made a clip so when i run motec i run a vac line from manifold to the sensor, and plug in the 3 bar, when I'm on stock ecu, i switch map sensors(unplug 3 bar, plug in stock sensor) and drive off

obd2 inspections.. no problem.:wow:

basically, i just have nothing better to do- lol
