ive done the simple things like - jasma 4-2-1, 2.5"exhaust, carbon filter, aftermarket lsd, apexi radiator.wondering what i can do next? cams? ecu? throtlebody?

Stock radiator is awesome, why did you get an Apexi?

The thermostat decides what temperature the engine runs at. A uprated radiator will just be more efficient.

Not really, the thermostat decides at what temperature the water starts to circulate through the block at and if that water can't be cooled by the rad you will always run hot.

Anyhow, you can look to cams and tuning and a thinner headgasket for more power, but note all 3 should be done at the same time.

more bhp options, can go for turbo.if stay NA, bigger cams, higher compression piston, good piggy back or if u can afford it, go for standalone.
as usual, whts ur bhp goal? and ur estimated budget?

that looks a good kit that i could probably afford with a bit of saving.

What kind of gains did you get? Big power increase?

Relistically this set up should be accompanied by a Standalone full mappable ECU right?

Hi dude,

I've not used the Jun Auto Type Zero cams,

But I've got the Jun Auto Stage 2 camshaft kit on the way at the moment, been waiting for Jun Auto to make the cams for the past month or so!!!!

Engine: Jun Auto Stage 2 Camshaft Kit @ Honda Tuning Heaven - VTEC Direct Ltd! -

Not exactly sure what the difference is between the two since they are the same price! But don't forget if you go this route you will need new Cam gears, intake and exhaust:

There's plenty on the market but I went for these:

Engine: Jun Auto Cybernetic Anthropomorphic Cam Gears Exhaust @ Honda Tuning Heaven - VTEC Direct Ltd! -

Engine: Jun Auto Cybernetic Anthropomorphic Cam Gears Intake @ Honda Tuning Heaven - VTEC Direct Ltd! -

In keeping with the Jun theme :D

And new ECU is a MUST really if you want to run them safely! I'd reccomend something you can tune like Hondata over any standalone management system like Spoon, J's Racing etc....

Jun cams are great, you should also consider kelford or if your on a budget skunk2 stage 2 is also a great cam...

Blinx can you help answer my above question? What's the difference between the Jun type zero cams and the Stage 2 cams???

Stage 2 camshaft kit is just the Stage 1 camshaft kit with springs and retainers.

And the Stage 2 R kit is the Stage 2 camshaft kit with type 2 retainers....

I'm a bit confused as to what the difference is....

Obviously the stage 3's are more aggressive, but what about Type Zero's....

plus, on the vtec-direct website it says client can specify any cam profile when ordering....which I didn't, I just purchased the Stage 2 camshaft kit.....what cams am I going to get?!!!:nerv:
