Hello,

Are the B18C6 LMA plug and play on the B16A2?

My engine start to make a tic tic tic when the engine oil is hot at idle, once I acellarate this noise just gone.

I believe it comes from the LMA help me if i'm wrong.

And the noise is it abnormal when the oil is hot? I use a very thin oil fully sintetic 5w40.
 
hmm mine is just noisy all together even wen hot, ive done the valve clearences (wen engine was stone cold), but i hear it was a problem with the first gen b series, but wasnt sure weather it would be a problem with the 2nd gen, i ve bought another head now to build up with some dirty cams in:D so its not really a problem now aslong as no nasty things happen to it in the meantime:((
 
I changed my LMA's to ITR ones on my b16a2, sounded so much better after and run alot better!
 
if you get performance camshafts, do you have to buy uprated LMA's or would the itr ones be ok to use?

5w40 compare to 10w40 or 15w50 yes is thinner...

The first number is the "cold" or "starting" weight. The second number is what the starting weight of oil will act like at operating temperatures. The higher the number, the thicker the viscosity and vice-versa.
 
correct, spring type has superceded old design in many countries, not sure what honda uk has done, isnt new spring design that used in k series ?
