Hey guys just done leak down test on my ek9 cylinder 1 showing 75% leak 2 showing 75% 3 showing 15% and 4 showing 10% whats peoples thoughts on the results not really able to hear where any air is escaping
 
just a guess but headgasket blown between cylinders 1 and 2?

You had every cylinder on TDC when you did the test?
 
Have you done a compression test?
 
I'd have thought you'd hear the leak at 75%.
Either way something's not sealing in 1 and 2.
Is a rebuild your plan or just to buy another engine? If your buying another engine then your just wasting time and money trying to diagnose the problem on the current one.
 
Trying to get a rebuild done. Done leak down test just to confirm where leak is coming from incase a full rebuild is not required and i waste money. Next problem is finding somebody to do it nobody seems to want my money
 
We can only guess really without hearing the air escape.
75% is quite large so I'd either go with a headgasket leak/warpage in that area or rings on 1,2.
I've little experience but you'd think that they'd all wear more evenly if general wear if the rings/bores where the problem.
It might become obviously when you get the head off.
 
Can you turn the pressure up from the compressor or is that fixed?
 
redone test..... 1. 78% 2. 17% 3.78% 4.10% and air is pishing from throttle body when i do test on 1&3 so intake valves the problem ? but would that cause smoke on acceleration ?
 
Defo on TDC?
Noise from the intake would be a valve problem I would have thought.
