ITR 98 cams into a B16A2 engine

iv been told the CTR cams are just the same as skunk stage 1. thats What iv got for my b16a2 but not got them in yet

They are the same in terms of redline.......both OEM and Stage 1 start to loose power at 8400 rpm, but the latter ones are a bit more aggressive. what would have been the reason to put them in production if they were the same anyway?? :D

Having in mind that the prices of Stage 1 and 2 are similar, I don't see a reason to install stage 1 if you are gonna mod the car......they do not require compression raise or any other engine/ECU upgrade to run in full potential so they will still be restrictive for serious mods.
But on the other hand, if you get the Stage 2 - which are the most aggressive cams in the market - then you must do some decent setup to make them work perfect, which requires enough $$$ and a good tuner

Skunk2 guys claim that stage 1 tuner series work with stock valvetrain components.
Do you think this is going to be reliable or is going to put some serious stress on the stock valvetrain components and damage the engine?

if it's B16B it won't put more stress than it can handle because the OEM valvesprings are double and stronger.....they are saying the truth :D

And if is a B16A2, because these cams are for the B16A too and they not specify that the B16A need skunk valve springs or other double valve springs...
