i'm getting the same sort of thing but my oil is going down like a litre in 600 miles.
i need to get the tests done like leak down and comporession and so on but for time being its not being driven....
did you get smoke when Vtec crossed over or from vtec to the redline???
i am only getting smoke when i get to 8000rpm upwards but it is burning alot of oil.
thought i'd ask you instead of starting a replica forum lol.

Not good news but at least it will be running very well when its all rebuilt!
Any ideas what happend to the rings for them to fail so badly? Do you know if they were genuine Honda rings or anything, alot of engine builders only recommend Honda or 2nd choice wiesco pistons for them to gaurantee their work
