Right people might think im a bit crazy with this one but im not... Everyone knows what there day to day engine noise sounds like. A few days ago I started to hear a humming noise which resembles the fan constantly running or maybe the air con being on. I can only hear it when the car is stopped. Most likely because the revving of the engine over powers it when driving. Just from checking myself it seems to be coming from the drivers side of the engine bay. Cant pin point were exactly though. It also seems to be more noticeable when engine is cold and then fades slightly but I could be wrong. Its starting to annoy me at this stage. Anybody any ideas? Its a Honda Accord CL1.

Went down to Tuning Factory and Pingo found the problem straight away... Air filter hose has a tear in it at the intake manifold causing the humming noise. €74 new from Honda, could have been something worse so happy enough.
