not really,
to replace it you need to disconnect one plug and unscrew the sensor from the collector pipe, the sensor may be very tight tho.
screw the new one in connect it up and your done.
best to disconnect the battery when doing it, this should also turn off the eml when its re connected
Yea not cheap from Honda!! I got a spare 1 from a guy I know in Rosyth, Scotland and I got it for £20!!!!!!!!!! He had tons lying about in his garage, he is known as the Honda Doctor across here! he is a LEG-END! Not sure he would post one though.
I had a bit of an experience with mine when I changed my manifold over - bloody thing was so tight I couldnt get that bastard out - tried all sorts - a massive breaker bar, heating it etc. So I went to see my mate at Honda and sourced a patent one.
Only after connecting it up and fitting it to the new mani my 9 started throwing an engine check light every time she got warm. Eventually went back to Honda and traded it for an OEM part and it worked perfectly
So in my experience - use genuine Honda!!
Oh, I never really felt any detrimental effect to the car when the sensor was failing...
