Good day all

I'm having issues with my eg

It's a esi converted with a b16a2 and s4c non lsd and my fuel consumption is terrible got 90 miles to just over half a tank

I know there are a lot of posts already about this but have tried most and not got anywhere

I have already changed

O2 sensor
Ht leads
Cap and rotor arm
Plugs
Checked tps is correct value
Set ignition timing to oe specs

It's got basic bolt ons

Air intake
Skunk 2 70mm throttle body
Skunk 2 intake manifold
Dc sports 4-2-1
Decat
2.5" exhaust
Aem fpr
Aem fuel rail
Ultra ht leads
Oe ngk bkr6-e11 plugs

I'm getting to the stage that I'm thinking it may be the throttle body being too big I never fitted it came on the car from previous owner!

What are your view people any help would be appreciated

Yeah would hazard a guess at maybe over fuelling due to the aem setup?

Maybe try a dyno run somewhere to check the air to fuel ratio?

What is the fuel pressure set at? If it is over 38 psi then it will be over fueling

I was told that own fuel pressure is around 42 psi so it's set to that @Murray should I drop it down then?

Haha can't remember thought it was just over will check again on my tea break later

Go get the car tuned, with those mods you should see a gain in power and obviously your fuel economy will be fixed aswell....

@jesse888 I don't see the pint in getting it tuned atm as don't want to stay b16 I want to go b18 in near future so saves cash not wasting it on the b16

Well that's fair enough. Although the extra cash your spending on fuel could pay for a map in no time lol

Jesse has a point here.. If your spending loads on fuel a quick map might be worth it!

the standard injectors on it? I've got a set of b16b ones in the garage if you need a set.
Pressure Reg as said. I'd be tempted to put the whole stock fuel rail system on if it was me. No gain from the aem setup you've got ATM it's just cash sitting on top of the engine IMO

Yeah understandable spending it on fuel is a waste also but no one is reputable up here to map b series don't want chicken shed tuning touching my car @LoganK

@jesse888 yeah standard and can revert back to oemhave all the parts form previous cars I think and put standard Tb back on too

Correct don't want them to map it lol try get @Vtec6000 to map it when he is over to map bobs and michaels cars, split it 3 ways will be a very good deal!

Then you won't need a b18c for a while just build a good box ;) since your the gearbox master :nice:
