English B18c4 into EG - hoses etc mirrored?

A guy I was talking to told me that on an English engine, or at least the c4, things like hose connections etc are mirrored because more things are mirrored like driving position, battery placement etc. I have never heard of this, what can you guys tell me about that statement? He said it would take some extra work when swapping into a European car because of that.

Did you have this conversation down the pub I have no idea what you mean when saying "mirrored" could you elaborate on what your saying abit more...

Well, connections for hoses eg, on the other side of the engine than a European one and that kinda stuff.

Yeah, including the connection on the engine itself. That's what he told me but I find it hard to believe. Is he right or am I?
