engine upgrade HELP!

Hi guys, wondering if you could help me, im wanting to up grade my ek9 to a 1.8, i was wondering if you could give me a list of things i should upgrade and what brand's for this mod keeping in mind i will be turboing it real soon, could i put it in the b18 pistons or should i buy other ones for low compression just now so some things are ready for turboing, i will up grade the injectors and other things if i should for later mods if needed

what is your ultimate horsepower goal and what fuel will you be using?
 
there is no horsepower goal, just after modding i will see the outcome, and im from the uk so i think fuel maybe different but will be using optimax the one with more oil! if i should, its the more expensive one so i think its the best idea unless u think otherwise
 
uh...no.

you should determine if you want 300bhp or do you want more than that? Because the prices start to vary quite a bit.
 
if you have no horsepower goal then you don't need any parts, you need to sit down and think about how fast you want to go, what your budget is, and how much hp you want.
 
after having a discussion with a mate who's helping me with the project, im aiming for 320hp and were going ti stik with a 1.6 as it will keep the power safe, he has a v6 coupe and it's runnin 262 after supercharger etc, so what do you guys think? will it be hard ti get 320 outa the ek9?
 
nope, throw enough cash at it and the skies the limit. Do you have a budget?

thats easily possible, thick headgasket to drop compression+turbo kit using a medium sized turbo at 12-15psi should easily get you 320+whp oh yeah you wil naturally need supporting mods and a tune.
 
nah i have no budget, what kinda supporting mods, im not going to go for a turbo kit as i wil save money by buying parts individually
