Having a small problem with the engine try to hold throttle steady at 2.5k and getting a lot of popping and banging in the exhaust and suddenly revs drop to tickover for a second then back up to 2.5k without any movement on throttle peddle was running on all four cylinders but was very slightly lumpy even before throttle drop off any ideas what to check first? No warning lights

Itb b16 with s300v2

Have a look at your fuelling tables in SManager and check they haven't been corrupted. I had similar problems once, which seemed to be caused by a dying battery not powering up the S300 properly and corrupting it.

/Longshot.

Are you running the MAP sensor with the itbs?

Have you a fuel pressure gauge? Are you using a Jenvey tps with the throttle bodies?

Yes I have a fuel pressure gauge and the pressure is fine stays constant I'm running a set up with standard honda tps fitted a new one it's cured the dropping revs but not the lumpy running and heavy fuel smelling emissions

Heavy fuel smell and bad running is probably poor mapping, I have worked on many rally cars with itb set ups using the hondata s300. While it does run, I have never driven one which has been perfect. To get the best out of throttle bodies you'd be best off using a standalone ecu like an omex 600, with the appropriate loom, or at least go to someone who has experience with mapping itb's using the s300
