I have a B16B engine in my EG civic. The conversion was carried out by someone else.
It has a ECU with the following numbers 37820-P28-GOO 766-105589. I am told that the insdes of this are re mappable.
I do not know what engine to ecu loom is being used.
Is this the correct ecu for the engine?
If not, what is the correct one. I dont care for re programmable.
Is there any way that I can identify the loom being used is the correct one.
Thanks in advance
B

your ecu is from a obd1 loom so its not the correct ecu to run with a b16b as that would be obd2a/b depending. the correct ecu should be PCT. if you look at where the ecu is connected to the loom is it only one set of connecions ? or does it connect into the ecu then there another connection shortly after ? that would be a conversion harness to be able to run that ecu which id imagine yours has ?

Its not gonna have a conversion jumper harness because the car is obd1 and the p28 is obd1 also..
Just open up the ecu and see what kind of chip do you have
