I am buying it from private fella here in Ireland. He used to be salesman in Poland for MOTUL.

DA6MIKE would you recommend the oil your using? Does your engine use it up after driving it hard as some people have experienced this with other oils?

vtech6000 most of th engines will burn a bittt of oil.I have 1200 kms to go to next service and as i was checking today it didnt burn much of it

Is that oil semi or fully synthetic?

I've been using fully synth for about 5k miles now (Silkolene 5w40 pro S) but want to test some semi-synthetic and do an oil consumption comparison.

It's ok to go from fully synth to semi synth, right?

It's fine to switch between synthetic an semi-syn, but I don't see a reason to downgrade. I think you'll find the fully synthetic has lasts longer.

Lasts longer in terms of what? Ok your plan is to change it in every service but it downgrades enough kms before car serviced again if you are a vtec lover. No matter how dense or strong it is it cannot keep quality for 10000 kms of abuse. That's a big disadvantage of full synthetic oil. Nothing serious to worry about but a fresh oil is always better for the high revving Dohc Vtec engines, so I'm always changing my regular oil(for vtec engines) 3 times before a service which is exactly the same cost as changing full syntetic once :)

Hmmm, its ok, but don't you think the oil should be of the same brand? :p
