am just wondering if the loom out of a 99 ek4 fit on a 98 ek9?please help

i don't think so. but your definitely going to need a obd2 ecu.

It will work but may not have all the connections example knock sensor.

If its from a VTEC 1.6 then itll work no problem but the loom from the ek4 is a OBD2b so you need to check your ecu as if your 98 EK9 is a OBD2a then youll need and adaptor plate. Use www.hondata.com to see what the different ECU adaptors look like between OBD2a and b

i dont know about EK4 as i live in usa but i know our sohc looms fit vtec engines with very minor modifications.

a rang hond-r yesterday and they said that a would be able to use the vti loom but al a would need to do is get a conversion harness and swap 2 wires around.cheers people
