hey dudes, u know there is a pipe running from the back of the engine head to the intake duct just before it reaches the throttle body right.......now if your engine head has a pressure build-up (which it usually does always have some pressure in it), wouldn't bits of engine oil be sucked into the intake duct and be burnt away in the engine?

On my previous car, I replaced this piece of pipe with a miniature cone-like filter that would allow the pressure to be vented but if any oil were to go in it would stop there....

have any of u guys done this.......what are your thoughts on this?

Thanks..

No, there is a check valve (pcv) that stops oil from going into the intake, only fumes to into the intake and are burnt.

i had one of those filters on the cam cover breather on my dc2 once, nothing gained by having it really, as blinx stated its only fumes drawn through that pipe, the cam cover is baffeled to avoid any oil being drawn through the pipe,

the breather that comes through the middle of the intake manifold is the one to check out, this is the one with the pcv valve,
the valve could be faulty.
